The peak viewing time for today’s solar eclipse along our coast is around 1:30, and there are several events planned:

It’s Solar Eclipse Day at Infinity Science Center in Hancock County from 9-noon, with free solar glasses for those watching the eclipse. 

There’s a Solar Eclipse Watch Party at Lynn meadows Discovery Center from 12:30-2:30pm with solar glasses and museum admission included.  Ten bucks for that…

Or, you can head to the East Central Public Library from 11-3pm

Lucedale/George County Library from 11:30-3p.

Pascagoula Library and Vancleave Library at noon.

Orange Grove Library from noon-3p.

Gulfport Library from noon to 3p.

St. Martin Library at one.

 NASA plans to livestream the eclipse starting at noon.
