Where do you typically eat dinner?
A new survey found that more and more people are eating dinner on the couch … or even in bed. The survey found that while 72% of respondents said they grew up eating dinner at the kitchen table, only 48% do so today. The couch has become the new preferred eating surface, with 30% of respondents saying that was their favorite pace to eat. 17% said they prefer to eat in bed. (PRNewswire)
I've read that you eat more when you dine in front of the TV. Which makes sense to me. Because you're paying more attention to what's on than you are to what you're putting in your mouth.
Knowledge doesn't always lead to smart choices, though. I still seem to be eating on the couch more and more often.
