France telling citizens to eat more cheese

Here in Mississippi, (at our house,) we've been eating a good bit of cheese. Pretty much the norm.

Well that's not happening all over the world. Last week, folks in Belgium were told to eat more potatoes. Now people in France are being told to eat more cheese, to save the dairy industry.

Because of lock downs, sales of cheese have plummeted -- and now farmers are sitting on thousands of tons of cheese that could be at risk of being thrown away. So, the dairy industry in France has launched a campaign called "Fromagissons," which means "Let's act for cheese." (Insider)
