Keesler Air Force Base and the City of Biloxi are co-hosting the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds for the Thunder Over the Sound Air and Space Show May 4-5, 2019. Mark your calendars!
•Admission is free and open to the public
•Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and on base shows, activities and performances begin at 8:30 a.m.oAt 1 p.m. the events move off base for air performances over the Biloxi beachfront. oEvents conclude around 5 p.m.
•Show times are tentative and subject to change pending inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances.
•Handicap parking will be provided on base.
•A Kids Zone with inflatables, obstacle courses and more will be on-site throughout the event.
•Events and activities are still being finalized, but will be published as they are confirmed. Confirmed performances are:-Twin Tigers: Yak 55’s (the 2019 International Council on Air Shows Platinum Pinnacle Award Winner in the Civilian Performer category)- Wild Blue Rodeo: RV-8- Jeremy Holt: Pegasus Biplane- Smoke N’ Thunder Jet Truck: Twin Jet Engin 57 Chevy pickup, capable of speeds of 350+ mph- Scott Francis Air Shows: MXS (one of only 12 in existence)- Greg Koontz & the Alabama Boys – Xtreme Super Decathlon and a 1946 Piper J-3 Cub- Additional ground display will be the DreamBig Mobile Interactive Aviation Museum featuring an A-7 and F-101 cockpits for attendees to climb into.

The air show will be divided into two portions; the morning portion, taking place on Keesler from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., will feature a number of smaller air acts and military fly-bys, ground demonstrations and static displays. The afternoon portion takes place along the beach just off U.S. 90, with White Avenue being show center, from 1 to 5 p.m., and will conclude with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
