Music and movies and fun, oh my!

New at the movies:

Michael Fassbender investigates an ominous serial killer in "The Snowman."

In "Geostorm," an intricate network of satellites is developed to control the Earth's climate. But, when it starts working against humankind, Gerard Butler's character is tasked with trying to destroy it.

An ensemble cast tells the true story of Arizona's Granite Mountain Hotshots in "Only The Brave." Miles Teller plays Brenden McDonough, and he says it was a challenge for him and his costars to portray these characters, because they wanted to correctly honor their story. The film is based on the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire, which killed 19 out of the 20 hotshots in the unit. "Only The Brave" highlights the team's dedication and ultimate sacrifice to protect their community. Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges and Jennifer Connelly also star in the tear-jerking drama.
