Put down the phone … According to a new study, almost everyone who owns a smartphone uses it during face-to-face social interactions -- like meals and parties -- and that using the phone makes the social interactions less fun for everyone. Researchers found that 90 percent of cell phone owners pulled out their phone during their most recent social activity -- and that the use of the phone led to feelings of distraction, boredom and a worse overall mood.
