The USS Fitzgerald will arrives at the Pascagoula Shipyard today

A Navy destroyer damaged in a collision that killed seven sailors last year arrives on the Mississippi coast this morning. The USS Fitzgerald will be repaired at the Ingalls shipyard in Pascagoula. The Fitzgerald was hauled all the way from Japan to Mississippi aboard a heavy transport. The repairs and an overhaul of the ship could take a year to complete at a cost of more than 500-million dollars.
