A teacher at a California high school accidentally discharged a gun yesterday while teaching public safety for his Administration of Justice class.
One student was lightly injured when teacher Dennis Alexander, who is also a reserve police officer, accidentally fired one shot into the ceiling of the classroom. Fragments from the bullet struck one student in the neck. Officials at Seaside High School in Monterey, California determined that there was no threat to students or staff and school remained in session. (CBS News)
