Some moron in Spain thought it would be fun to deface a 12th-century statue at the Santiago de Compostela cathedral in Spain's Galicia region by making the face over with the "Catman" make-up created by former KISS drummer Peter Criss, as well as writing KISS on the book the statue is holding.
A tweet posted by local authorities says, "Santiago Cathedral is a World Heritage site. It belongs to us all. As well as demonstrating a total lack of respect, this vandalism is also a crime. Help us to find the person or people responsible."
If caught, the spray-painter faces up to a $172,000 fine.
Lasers are being used to remove the paint.
