Kris Jenner is loving being a grandmother for the tenth time. While chatting with Entertainment Tonight, the (grand) mom-ager revealed the inspiration behind Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's decision to name their fourth child Psalm West. The choice initially surprised fans when Kim announced it on social media. She had previously stated their top choice was Rob after her late father.
“The inspiration was the Book of Psalms in the Bible,” Kris revealed. “I think it’s just a wonderful way to celebrate how they feel. And he’s such a blessing, so it’s perfect.”
This seems to echo an inside source's claim that Kim and Kanye were inspired by their spirituality when picking the moniker. “Kanye has been going through a spiritual revival lately. Every name has a meaning that is personal between Kanye and Kim and the child,” a source told People. “Psalm is a good reflection of where Kanye and Kim are spiritually.”
So far, Psalm has only made one appearance on Kim's social media accounts. While the photo was (of course) super cute, it had some fans worried. Some believed baby Psalm was swaddled in too many blankets, which can increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Kim did not reply to her fans' concerns. Since Psalm is her fourth child, she's probably aware of those risk and how to properly care for her kids.
