Memorial Hospital in Gulfport is expanding into Stone County. Starting this Friday November 1st, Stone County Hospital will officially become Memorial Hospital at Stone County, offering better access to health care for nearly 18-thousand residents. Hospital officials say the facility's emergency room will be staffed 24/7 by board certified physicians. And, patients who live in Stone County, will also be able to use 'Telemedicine' to link up and communicate with doctors at Memorial in Gulfport. Memorial Hospital at Stone County has been licensed to operate 50 in-patient beds.
