The U.S. Geological Survey is now confirming that a two-point-three magnitude earthquake hit parts of Northern Mississippi Wednesday. It happened in an area east of Booneville around 6:45 p.m. The agency says calls came in from people feeling the quake from as far away as Kentucky. There were no injuries or incidents of property damage reported. It was only the fourth time in the history of the state that an earthquake was recorded.
