School districts in South Mississippi announce closures

  • Gulfport School District: March 16-20
  • Long Beach School District: March 16-20
  • Pass Christian School District: March 16-20
  • Harrison County School District: March 16-20
  • Biloxi School District: March 16-20
  • Ocean Springs School District: March 16-20. This also means that all activities, including athletics, are canceled as well.

  • Seabreeze Jazz Festival Rescheduled for April 21st-25th -- at the same venue. All the 2020 wristbands and tickets will be good for the 2021 show. 
  • Biloxi postpones parade, Grillin' Mayor Andrew "FoFo" Gilich, after consulting with organizers of two weekend events, has announced that the Hibernia Marching Society St. Patrick's parade and Grillin' on the Green will be moved to the Fall.
  • All concerts at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center have been canceled for the remainder of March due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.
  • The Reba McEntire date scheduled for May 1st has been postponed to July 11th at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. Ticket holders should hold on to their tickets, which will be honored at the rescheduled date.
  • Chris Stapleton Biloxi, MS – Chris Stapleton at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday, March 20 has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 5. Your ticket will be honored for the rescheduled date. For any further ticket inquiries please reach out to point of purchase. more info
  • Spring Jam Featuring Kevin Gates at the MS Coast Coliseum on April 4th Canceled – Due to COVID-19, it is with abundant precaution that the Spring Jam 2020 event scheduled for April 4,2020 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum has been cancelled. All refunds will be honored at point of purchase.
  • The LIT AF Tour, hosted by Martin Lawrence on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 7:30 PM at Biloxi’s Mississippi Coast Coliseum has been postponed. The show’s postponement is consistent with the joint global entertainment task force (AEG/Live Nation/Major Talent Agencies), in light of the continuing concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus). The reschedule date is to be determined; and more information will follow. Ticket holders are asked to hold onto their tickets as they will be valid for the new date. "I am disappointed to postpone dates on the LIT AF tour but the health and safety of my fans is a priority. New dates will be announced once we all have more information.   • Jon Pardi at Hard Rock Biloxi show scheduled for 3/13/2020 has been postponed. We do not have a schedule for the make-up dates yet. When we have that information, we will let you know. Hang on to the tickets you have for now and we will follow up as soon as we have further information.

  • Kiss rescheduled October 6th at MS Coast Coliseum Biloxi
  • Major League Baseball is suspending spring training and the start of the regular season
  • SEC sports have been suspended.
  • Juco sports in the state suspended until March 31st.
  • Mississippi’s 8 public Universities will extend their spring break an additional week and then will offer classes online. Most will start online on March 23rd, but USM will extend the break through the 27th with online starting March 30th.
  • The NCAA is canceling the upcoming basketball tournament
  • 2020 iHeartCountry Festival Postponed
  • Ocean Springs School District Superintendent Dr. Bonita Coleman announced that the district’s job fair scheduled for March 14th has been canceled.
  • Arts Alive! scheduled for March 21-22, 2020 in Bay St. Louis will not take place. They are currently looking at possible dates for rescheduling in the fall.
