#GoodNews: Competitors Keep Book Store Open for Sick Owner

Jennifer and her husband Seth own The Book Catapult in San Diego, California. Last month, Seth had emergency open heart surgery and spent 11 days in the hospital. As he was recovering, Jennifer was caring for him and their 3-year-old daughter, and their only employee had the flu, so they had to close the book store. Word spread and soon, workers from 5 competing bookstores in the area showed up to take turns running the store so the family wouldn’t lose the money.
