Adele paused during her show in New Zealand last night to pay tribute to her hometown of London and the victims of Wednesday's terror attack.
She told the audience, "Today there was a terror attack in my hometown of London. I’m on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us." She continued, "It’s very strange not being home, all I want to do today is be at home with my friends and family. Everyone’s fine, but there are four [victims] who aren’t fine, so let’s dedicate this to them tonight."
The victims included an American tourist, a young mother, a 75-year-old man and a police officer who tried to stop the attacker. 40 others were injured. (Entertainment Weekly)
