One of the best smells in the world has to be the smell of bacon cooking. Even though it's the best scent to wake up to on a Saturday morning, that doesn't mean you'd want to light up a candle and have your house smell like it when it's not cooking.
According to a recent Reddit thread, these are the scents that smell great … but you wouldn't want to have them as a candle:
- Wet streets
- Gas from a gas station
- The smell when a match is first lit or blown out
- New book smell
- Old books
- Rye bread
- Chlorine from an indoor hotel pool
- Vinyl record
- Old T-shirt from the back of the drawer
- The smell of onions and garlic being sautéed in olive oil
