This Rutgers study reveals that head and neck injuries are on the rise nationwide – because of distracted phone users. Over 76,000 people across the country have been treated for phone-related injuries to the face, head, and neck. And most of the injured are between the ages of 13 and 29. The majority of the injuries were scratches and bruises to the face and head. But there were cases where people actually bruised their brain from falling due to smartphone distraction. There have even been cases of people breaking their noses after dropping phones right smack on their faces. (Daily Motion)
