We have so much new information that we're getting on a daily basis, that we need to remind ourselves on a regular basis to do certain things, until a habit is created! (Don't they say it takes about 6 weeks to start a new habit?)
One basic thing I'm struggling with is to wash my hands EVERY time I open the refrigerator or pantry. My issue: I'll eat some BBQ chips, with my fingers of course, then head to the fridge to grab the sandwich materials. Guess what? I've got my germs, from my mouth, all over my hands from eating the chips! I promise that I'm a really clean person, it's just that we get comfortable in our own settings. WASH WASH WASH. It's a good thing. Even after all of this passes.
Here some others-
- Wipe off your keys regularly. Daily....or more.
- Wipe off your shoes, tops and bottoms as soon as you get in the door from work/picking up food. They say that isopropyl is good for this.
- Wipe off your phone! (This should really be something we do from now on.)
- Don't flush wipes, paper towels or anything else (besides toilet paper.) In California, they're also warning not to flush t-shirts. Not sure who tried that......
- Pray, frequently.
