According to WLOX.com, the city of Gulfport is issuing a Safer at Home order that will include a curfew. It goes into effect tonight at 11:59PM. The curfew will be between the hours of 11pm and 5am for all individuals except first responders and healthcare professionals.
Additionally- Residents need to limit their activities beyond essential needs and stay at home. The order also advises businesses to close where possible, open if necessary.
Here are some of the things you’ll be allowed to do in Gulfport:
Go to the grocery, warehouse stores or convenience stores.
Pickup curbside, delivery or drive thru only at restaurants.
Care for family members or friends when necessary.
Help someone to get supplies that are necessary.
Medical appointments that are necessary as well as visit a pharmacy.
Walk, Bike ride, Hike or Jog outside as long as you comply with the 6-foot social distancing.
Receive deliveries.
Here are things you shouldn’t be doing in Gulfport:
Going to work, unless it’s an essential service as defined by this order
Visit friends/family with no urgent need
Maintain less than 6 feet from others when you go out.
Visit loved ones in nursing homes, hospital etc.
