In a weird way, I believe that I've just been given permission to over-eat. I struggle with emotional eating. Any emotion. Sad, Happy, Stressed or just because I'm bored. You with me? We're all spending more on groceries during this sheltering in place and are taking in more calories!
We're eating more carbs and less veggies......(did you know we eat most of our veggies when dining out?)
According to the American Psychological Association, it's acceptable that we're stuffing our emotions with extra feel-good food. During a crisis such as this, feel free to indulge in those extra calories to cope. It's self-care. (The Washington Post)
Now- My promise (or at least I'll try,) is to eat fewer bad carbs, and more good stuff when this is all over.
