FDA warns of dangerous ingredient in some hand sanitizers.

You may be wondering how this could happen. But, it did. Fortunately, it doesn't look wide-spread.

According to Market Watch, The FDA is warning people about a potentially life-threatening ingredient used in a handful of hand sanitizers that are available. Here is the story and what you need to keep your eye out for-

People should stay away from any hand sanitizer manufactured by Eskbiochem because it contains methanol. It's an alcohol that is commonly used in industrial pesticides and alternative fuel sources, and is toxic when absorbed through the skin. Continued use may cause nausea, vomiting, permanent blindness, seizures, or death. The FDA advises consumers to "stop using these hand sanitizers and dispose of them immediately." (Market Watch)

The FDA has provided a list of hand sanitizers to avoid or throw out if you have them.
