It's an alcohol that is commonly used in industrial pesticides and alternative fuel sources, and is toxic when absorbed through the skin. Continued use may cause nausea, vomiting, permanent blindness, seizures, or death. The FDA advises consumers to "stop using these hand sanitizers and dispose of them immediately." (Market Watch)
