Women spend 2 hours a day worrying, and it's causing health issues

I used to be a worry wart. (notice the old-school terminology.). Now, I still do, some, but have gotten better at not obsessing over things.

If you worry a lot, it's taking a toll on your health, and according to SWNS, women are spending way too much time worrying on a daily basis.

According to a new survey, if you’re a woman, you probably worry a lot. And, no surprise: Women spend most of their time worrying about other people. The survey found that women spend an average of almost two hours a day feeling worried or stressed. Nearly 70% of this time is spent worrying about other people, rather than themselves. Men spend about an hour-and-a-half worrying each day, with 10% admitting that none of that time is spent concerned about others.

Needless to say, all this worrying is taking a toll on women’s health. The survey found that women are twice as likely to worry about their kids’ health, education, diet and future than men are. 57% of the women surveyed said this leads to them neglecting their own health. And a whopping 72% say they have ignored troubling health symptoms – blaming stress or being tired instead. (SWNS)
